Doggy do-do

The dogs have just woken up. They can be a handful at times. The Old English Sheepdog can be infuriatingly stubborn at times as he loves to steal things and gleefully scamper off with them. He must be thinking,

“ Look at me, look at me, God damn it, LOOK AT ME !”

Definitely an attention fiend that one. Fortunately the German Shepard puts him in his place once in a while. Although The OES likes to think he is the alpha male, the Shepard is the real dog King in this house.

We have given our lovable canines a great home and some day I would love to help out the more unfortunate pets in the world. Perhaps build a large shelter or something. So many are mistreated or abandoned.

My future charity efforts would definitely begin in the realm of pets and children. I believe that they are the most venerable ones, prone to be taken advantage of.

For now we will continue to brush (including their teeth with chicken flavoured toothpaste, yuck) our two dogs, clip their nails, feed them healthy food, take them for walks, pick up poop in the backyard, go awwwwwwww at their cuteness, and try to encourage good doggy behaviour.

All in a days work.

Lets blog seriously shall we?

Hi – Happy New Year!

It’s me, Terry, the founder of mylifechanges.com. I’ve decided to change the tone of this blog for 2006 and make it more blog like, or…er…. personal. It will be a record my own goal setting, happiness and life struggles. Yes I do use my own website to set goals, values and learn more about me. I hope I connect with more clients and please feel free to post comments. If you want to read more serious entries please see my “expert author “ link on my site.

Where am I?

I am typing this entry in a room of dark blue walls, extended off the kitchen. It is sunken two-steps below the lengthy kitchen. This actually used to be part of the garage until former owners remodelled the house. I have a huge view to the backyard, which unfortunately is a frozen tundra of snow and ice. The pool has almost disappeared!! * sniff * A German Shepard lies beside me on the loveseat (he cutely snores sometimes) and the Old English Sheepdog is lying on the dog bed.

I am typing on a Toshiba laptop and am also listening to Itunes. The last three songs I have listened to are, Window Shopper, Thank U and Carry On Wayward Son.

The biggest events for 2005 in my life were:

1 Recovering from my back problems, which include 2 herniated discs. I am 100% better now. Health is the number #1 priority for me.
2 Stomach surgery on our Sheep dog. It’s always scary when a loved family member is ill.
3 Eating healthier and losing some weight.
4 Launching this website. It isn’t a business, it’s a passion.
5 Changing cars. Yay!!!!! Went through hell with the last one.
6 Learning more about my sometimes-goofy behaviour.
7 Still having Mom and Dad in my life.
8 Finding out more about my natural mother (I’m adopted)
9 Having a cleaning lady…OMG…what a lifesaver.
10 I still have a great family with a loving supportive wife and three great stepdaughters.

I always have lots to write about!! Gotta keep these entries short and sweet

Happy New Year!!
