The Secret To Making Life Changes

Willpower. Once you realize you only have so much will power everything becomes clearer. So stop beating yourself up about not being able to change. The thing is that we only have so much will power in our mind and body to make changes. Will power runs out like a muscle that becomes tired. It’s extremely important to ask yourself the following questions.
During the 24 hours I have each day, what do I truly, truly, truly wish to focus on? If you find yourself eating crap, watching too much television or shopping needlessly you have run out of will power.
How do I combat information overload, constant advertising and simple distractions like mindlessly surfing on the Internet? With will power.
So…..
What can I do to help you get more will power ? Usually creating a vision , keeping that vision in mind and making sure you live according to your core personal values should be enough….right?
Wrong. You need a little push from me.
You need to make a pledge to either yourself or someone else. You will pledge money, something valuable or your self respect. And this pledge will be mandatory. Stay tuned.
I have just given you a bit more will power.
Love – The Ultimate Life Change

If one of your personal values is love and you have it as a core value in your tracker, do you have a good definition of love? Or is your definition just warm and fuzzy?
In Barbara Frederickson’s book Positivity she comes up with a pretty good definition.
Positivity comes in ten forms.
Joy.
Gratitude.
Serenity.
Interest
Hope.
Pride.
Amusement.
Inspiration.
Awe.
Love.
Why is love at the bottom of this list? Because if you mix all of these up in a blender… you get love.
Think about a time you felt love. At different points in time it had most of these elements in it. When you define love as a personal value, whether love of a person or love of the world it helps to remember what makes up love.
You just may want a little of all of these positive elements in there.
Just to remind you what love really is.

What behaviors from others drive you crazy? What INFURIATES you? Which behaviors force you to draw a line in the sand?
These are the questions you should ask yourself. These are the questions that will point you to your most cherished core personal values. They are the opposites to what you really stand for. It’s usually pretty easy to figure out what you don’t like.
Have you seen a boss humiliate someone in a meeting?
Does sitting in traffic piss you off?
Does the greed of Wall Street enrage you?
Are you feeling like a prisoner in your cubicle?
Is the stress in your life killing your health?
Now think about what values are the opposites of these feelings?
How about respect?
Joy.
Freedom.
Health.
Peace.
Compassion.
Giving.
Your values are your moral compass, a source of energy and most of all they motivate you.
My most cherished value is freedom. Freedom inspires me to build a life where I can work anywhere in the world. Where I can make my own rules. Where I can share my dreams with others.
What are your core personal values?

I ask people to identify their personal values.
Why?
Because values create emotion, drive, meaning, purpose and feeling.
My favorite value is freedom.
Freedom to own a business I can run from a laptop sitting on a gorgeous beach.
Freedom to fire a client that doesn’t get it.
Freedom to easily and cheaply connect with an important CEO through Skype.
Freedom to stay home by the fireplace as lines of cars head off to packed commutes.
When I picture my best life I can taste it. I can feel it. That feeling is my driving force.
I want it bad…I crave it….I yearn for it…every day.
They don’t teach you this stuff in school. In school you abide by the rules, walk a straight line and be a good citizen.
Isn’t it time to break the rules? Isn’t it time to taste life?
Isn’t it time to make that wonderful feeling of pure freedom a reality?
What’s stopping you?

One of the best tools in My Life Changes is the ability to define your core personal values. Across the world, people share universal values such as honesty, compassion, loyalty, love, passion, courage and peace. Your personal values reveal what matters most to you in life. They are qualities that you admire in others and hope you live life by. As you define your core personal values you find personal motivation in them. Your values are a foundation to your life’s meaning and purpose.
Most value driven companies are the most successful in the world. Apple values innovation above almost all else, and this has led them to be the number one IT company in the world. So why aren’t you defining your own values? With clear values we make choices that lead us to behave from personal integrity and strength rather than blind emotion or societies shallow influences. If you truly seek meaning and purpose in life begin to define your personal values. My Life Changes provides the best tool on the web for this.
Please take some time to read this post by Donald Miller a terrific author who talks about defining values.

Here’s How To Make Life Changes

I created www.mylifechanges.com to help you make meaningful life changes. I can’t force you to make life changes. Only you can decide that. I have supplied a tool for you to use. I could become your personal coach but you probably can not afford a life coach. I hope you decide to make life changes today, because tragedy can strike at any time, and by then it may be far too late. This website will make you think. Thinking is good.
Decide who you are
First, you will need to decide who you are. Are you a parent, entrepreneur and athlete? Or are you a philosopher, businessman and wealth builder? Understanding your own big picture will set the frame for the next steps.
Decide what your core values are
Here are the top 5 core values (in order) people are seeking on www.mylifechanges.com: balance, achievement, commitment, love, and happiness. I don’t think it is necessary to list more then 5 core values. I also think that happiness is a very good core value to seek. Without happiness is life really much fun? Now you are ready to set goals according to who you are and what core values are meaningful to you.
Decide what your goals are
Take your most important core value and set a goal that will help you live accordingly to it. If your value is happiness, your goal may be to start the morning off with a smile. It’s simple but goals don’t have to be complicated to have a huge effect. Don’t set too many goals. It will be too difficult to reach a bunch at the same time. Kind of hard to quit smoking, lose weight and meditate all at the same time. You have taken perhaps the three most important steps in your life.
Track your changes
Use the color coded tracker to see how you are doing. I made the tracker as visual and simple as possible to make it easy for you and I. You are now on your way to making life changes. Congratulations!
Is it that simple? Yes it is. Why should it be complicated? You have a need, I supply a tool, you take action.

Life seems to hurtle by us these days. To keep up with our frantic-paced life, our ever-changing technological society has given us radical tools to work, plan and supposedly become more efficient.
Computers, cell phones, iPhones and pagers are just a few examples of gadgets that keep us connected, sometimes 24/7. Information whizzes by us at a mind-numbing rate from Internet news sites, work computer systems, E-mail at work, E-mail at home, not to mention pagers, to do lists and pop up reminders. All in the name of efficiency. Work demands that we do more in less time and the global village keeps us all connected with instant news. More and more of us are reeling from information overload, feeling exhausted and possibly headed for burn out.
